MARCO BERNARDI

It’s hard to write while you are dancing at the same time, but you have to in Marco Bernardi’s case. His combination of Chicago House and Detroit Techno doesn’t forgive: it makes you dance while you try to write biographies and it makes ambassadors of techno such as Laurent Garnier send enthusiastic faxes around the world; his albums therefore are released by some of the most important labels around such as Emotion label, Iridite Recordings, Frustrated Funk and Frantic Flows of Clone Records.
The Italo-Scottish Bernardi who began his career at the young age of 15 in Glasgow, takes you back to the times of Ultimate Club Dance 1990, when the most important thing was in fact to dance, making you forget whatever you were doing...

'Instantly the first memory that comes to mind is the year 1990 when Italy won the World Cup and I was actually in the village from where all my family come from, Piombino.
This little quiet fishing village basically erupted into complete carnival extravaganza: there were cars blasting their horns, whistles and horns blowing everywhere, every bar was full of mothers, fathers, children, grandparents all completely ecstatic about the win.. It was just a sea of green, white and red everywhere and this lasted for about 5 days... I will NEVER forget that week...'
