It’s almost natural for Dancity Festival to host Alessio Bertallot.
Musician, DJ, TV and radio presenter (B side on Radio Deejay), journalist and singer, his approach to music liberated Italy from its international isolation. The general public therefore discovered Rap thanks to his presence at the popular Festival of Sanremo, alternative music thanks to the first program on MTV Italia dedicated to new sounds, and also discovered that you can combine electronic music to the Divine Comedy.
Jazzaposizioni, crossover of electronic music with jazz improvisations is one of Bertallot’s last inspirations to Italian music. His project in Foligno will host Gianluca Petrella and Giovanni Guidi to challenge what we usually expect to hear.
“I remember one World Cup that goes back to many years ago, a match between Italy and Holland, maybe. My father had the habit on Sundays to take us kids on short trips. We would visit museums, archaeological remains, or just beautiful places. Therefore that Sunday I remember the match for not having seen it. I then understood that I didn’t need to”.
